Interest-Based Human Matching System for Harmonia

A project focused on designing and building an interest-based human matching system that helps people find meaningful collaborators, communities, friendships, learning paths, and projects based on shared interests, values, strengths, and goals. The system aims to improve human flourishing by helping individuals find environments and people where they can thrive.

Goal

Create a working prototype integrated into Harmonia Society that allows people to build meaningful profiles and discover compatible collaborators based on interests, values, competencies, and visions for the future. Success means people can genuinely find “their people” and begin meaningful collaborations through the platform.

Roadmap

Phase 1 – Theory & Design - Define what should be matched (interests, values, skills, goals, psychology, learning style, etc.) - Explore risks such as echo chambers and over-personalization - Design ethical principles for matching Phase 2 – Profile System - Create user profile structure inside Harmonia - Add interests, skills, goals, values, and project ambitions - Design profile UX Phase 3 – Matching Prototype - Build an initial recommendation system - Test different matching logic - Experiment with human compatibility indicators Phase 4 – Collaboration Layer - Allow users to form groups - Join projects together - Find people aligned with long-term goals Phase 5 – Evaluation & Iteration - Gather feedback - Improve matching quality - Prevent unhealthy clustering or bias
